Improving state and local communities through work with federal legislation is not only fulfilling but effective. The opportunity to enhance the abilities of local officials and engage with their communities is one of the best parts of TFG.
Rebecca Bliss is an Associate at The Ferguson Group. Rebecca tracks federal legislation and regulation for issues and impacts pertaining to local governments, and special districts. Rebecca also assists the Grants Team in identifying and pursuing grant opportunities for specific client projects. Rebecca works on a wide array of practice areas including water and natural resources, transportation, and economic development, among other issues, at the federal level.

Prior to joining The Ferguson Group, Rebecca has experience working as a legal assistant in a law firm; and as an intern in a government relations firm in Washington, DC, where she analyzed and tracked federal legislation as well as researched the impact of federal legislation on stakeholders. She has also interned on Capitol Hill in the office of U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and in the White Plains, NY, district office of former U.S. Representative Nita Lowey (D-NY).
