Grant Due: FY 2021 Choice Neighborhood Implementation Grant Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program is intended to leverage significant public and private dollars to support locally driven strategies that address struggling neighborhoods with severely distressed public and/or HUD-assisted housing through a comprehensive approach to neighborhood transformation. Program goals include replacing distressed public and assisted housing with high-quality, mixed-income housing, improving outcomes of households living in the target housing related to employment and income, health, and children's education, and creating the conditions for public and private reinvestment in distressed neighborhoods. WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Local governments, tribal entities, public housing authorities and Indian housing authorities, and nonprofit or for-profit owners of HUD-assisted housing developments
