WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to fund high-impact, applied research, development, and pilot-scale technology validation and demonstration projects to advance the transformational technologies and innovations necessary to reduce energy use and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the industrial sector. WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Eligible prime applicants are institutions of higher education, for-profit entities, and non-profit entities. State, local, and tribal government entities are eligible to participate as a subrecipient. Domestic incorporated consortia, Department of Energy (DOE)/National Nuclear Security Agency (NNSA) Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDCs) and NonDOE/NNSA FFRDCs are eligible to apply for funding as a prime recipient or subrecipient. Federal agencies and instrumentalities are eligible to participate as a subrecipient.
