WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to reduce hazardous fuel conditions on nonfederal land and benefit nearby National Forest System lands. Awards will support projects which protect communities that are at the highest risk from damaging wildfires, and protect critical resources and economic values by maintaining landscapes to accommodate fire.
