The purpose of this program is to support the maintenance of functioning wildlife habitats, the development and implementation of restoration projects, and the inventory and monitoring of priority habitats and species to track trends and use on public lands. State, county, city, and township governments: special district governments; public, state-controlled, and private institutions of higher education; federally recognized Native American tribal governments; Alaskan Natives, and Native Hawaiian organizations; Native American tribal organizations; and nonprofit organizations with or without 501(c)(3) status
