Grant Due - ROUND 1: FY 2024 Publishing Historical Record in Collaborative Digital Editions   

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program provides access to, and editorial context for, the historical documents and records that tell the American story. Funding will support projects to publish online editions of historical records, which may focus on broad historical movements in U.S. history, such as law, including its social and cultural history; politics; social reform; business; military; the arts; and other aspects of the national experience, including any aspect of African American, Asian American, Hispanic American, and Native American history. Click here for more information.

Grant Due: FY 2024 Major Collaborative Archival Initiatives   

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program aims to improve public discovery and use of major historical records collections. Projects must be collaborations among multiple institutions that either digitize and publish online historical records as a virtual collection around a common theme, organization, or important historical figure(s), or that create and test new tools and methods for the archival field to enhance public access, especially for born-digital records. WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program will fund archival collaborations to share best practices, tools, and techniques; assess institutional strengths and opportunities; create replicable and sustainable digital platforms for historical collections; virtually unify records from multiple repositories; and promote management structures for long-term sustainability and growth.
