FY 2024 Rural Community Innovations: Transportation Planning Grant

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program offers funding for communities to develop a transportation plan that addresses accessibility and equity. Planning activities will identify transportation barriers, consider current and future community needs, actively engage older adults and people with disabilities in the process, and create or strengthen multi-sector collaborative partnerships. Click here for more information.

Rural, local, and regional private nonprofit or government organizations, including but not limited to: public transit agencies, councils of government, metropolitan or rural planning organizations, tribal agencies, area agencies on aging, community action agencies, centers for independent living, disability service organizations, and community organizations involved in the administration, delivery, or coordination of public transit, human services transportation, aging, or disability services

FY 2024 Transitional Living Program 

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to implement, enhance, and/or support effective strategies for successful transition to sustainable living for runaway and homeless youth ages 16 to under 22 and, if applicable, their dependent children. Projects should successfully transition youth experiencing homelessness into adulthood through the promotion of self-sufficient living and the prevention of long-term dependency on social services. FY 2024 Street Outreach Program  

WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program provides prevention and intervention services to reduce sexual abuse of youth who have left home due to family conflict or other crisis, youth who are experiencing homelessness, and youth living on the street, and connects youth to safe and stable housing and other resources. State governments, county governments, city or township governments, special district governments, independent school districts, public and state-controlled institutions of higher education; private institutions of higher education, public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities, nonprofit organizations, public and non-profit private entities federally recognized Native American tribal governments, and Native American tribal organizations

FY 2024 Maternity Group Home (MGH) Program  

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to provide safe, stable, and appropriate shelter to pregnant or parenting youth who are 16 to 21 years of age who have run away from home, been forced to leave home, have no safe alternate living arrangement, are experiencing homelessness, or are at risk of being homeless. FY 2024 Basic Center Program

WHAT DOES IT FUND? The purpose of this program is to provide temporary emergency shelter and counseling services to youth under the age of 18 who have run away or are experiencing homelessness or housing instability and are not already receiving services from the child welfare or the juvenile justice systems.
