Grant Due: FY 2021 Diesel Emissions Reduction Act (DERA) School Bus Rebates Program
WHAT DOES IT FUND? This program offers rebates for retrofits or replacements of school buses to reduce harmful emissions from older, dirtier, diesel vehicles. New buses are expected to reduce pollution by over 90 percent compared to older diesel buses and may use the following fuel types: diesel or gasoline, propane, natural gas, or battery or hydrogen electric. WHO'S ELIGIBLE? Regional, state, or tribal agencies that have jurisdiction over transportation and air quality, including school districts and municipalities, and private entities that operate school buses under contacts with the types of entities listed above
